Hooray for weekends!

Especially pre-birthday weekends!

On Monday, I will turn 26. I will also pick up the keys to my awesome new digs. Therefore, there is much celebrating to do.

Tomorrow I plan on being treated to bagels and nail care while spending quality time with my baby sister, after which we will go to IKEA and pick up cheaper furniture for our more expensive apartment.

Sunday will bring, among other things, a birthday dinner with my hunny at Zengo (which I have been wanting to try since it opened--Mexican/Asian fusion just sounds too interesting to miss).

Monday I will not be going to work (hey, it's not my fault if Congress hasn't declared May 1st to be a national holiday). Instead, I will be sleeping in, doing a walk-through of the new pad, and sponsoring a celebratory happy hour. Speaking of the latter, I'd love for all of my friends in the blogosphere to come, so let me know if you're interested and I'll give you the where and when.

All of the aforementioned events should keep my mind blissfully free of the negative aspect of next week. No, I'm not stressed about getting older--rather, next Friday is the day on which I will learn the results of Maryland Bar Exam, Version 2.0. Way to ruin Cinco de Mayo, Maryland (trust me, even if I pass, the vast majority of the day will be miserable with waiting and wondering). Geez!

Have a great weekend, and for those of you venturing to Foxfield, have a blast!

Gahhhh... Well, I have a Team 2 soccer game the night of May 1. The only thing that can get me to a HH is a rain out.

I-66: I had a feeling you'd be soccer-ing. If you get rained out, come join us. If not, you can buy me a cocktail at Friday evening's happy hour.

sparkles: Thanks so much, I will! Sorry you can't make it on Monday evening--hopefully I'll see you Friday.

ohhhh foxfield. greatest place, time, event e-ver. drinking at 9am out of a solo cup and trying to avoid the inevitable mounds of mud everywhere in a super cute sun dress.

jillyn: Yeah, Foxfield is pretty rad. I'd like to go again and NOT be the designated driver. Probably a very different experience.

law-rah: Thanks so much--good luck on exams!
