To all* bicyclists.

I would like to draw your attention to D.C. Regulation 1201.15, found in the chapter entitled "Safe Operation of Bicycles and Motorized Bicycles." It states:

"No person shall operate a bicycle except in obedience to the instructions of official traffic control signals, signs, and other control devices applicable to vehicles, unless otherwise directed by a police officer or other person authorized to direct and control traffic."

In other words, when you have a red light and I have a walk signal, you don't get to fly through the intersection and nearly take my ass out just because you "drive" a Schwinn instead of a Saab.

And you DEFINITELY don't get to give me a dirty look while you're breaking the law and nearly running me down.

That is all.

*Yes, I realize that not all bicyclists are giant turds like this jerk was. But, as a public servant, I feel it is my duty to share my wisdom with others. ;-)

    Who's the narc?

Just kidding. It's a crazy town, and you gotta watch out for yourself when the bicyclists come for you.

Yes, many bikers are the first to complain about cars and first to ignore traffic rules as well.

    AMEN!

As a driver they are irritating as well, because you finally get ahead of one, after being stuck behind it, then you stop at a red light and it goes through the red light!
